Press Release Body: The 1989 economic inflation in Taiwan affected the operation of
Ying Yuan Louver Door Company, manufacturer of solid louver door, shoji door,
cabinet door, and solid wooden door, which compelled businessman Wen-Ju Chen to
search for another place for investment abroad. He searched for other countries
where he could move his operation, such as Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and
Malaysia. Mr. Chen visited the Philippines, particularly Davao, from which he
discovered the country's potential as an ideal investment site.

According to Wen-Ju Chen, the Philippines' proximity to Taiwan, as well as the
country's convenient import and export processes, and incentives given to foreign
investors made him decide to establish his company in 1991.

Wen-Ju Chen occupied a warehouse in Bian, Laguna, which served as the production
area and office for his 70 workers and staff. The company reached its peak in 1994
with its laminated wood products. However, in 1996, the company had experienced a
dramatic decline in the business when Taiwan refused to accept laminated doors. But
Chen's Filipino workers never deserted the company. With the locals' innate quality
of perseverance, skill, and loyalty, the company finally got back to its feet, in
time with Mr. Chen's adoption of new technology of non-joint lamination system.

As the company continues to expand its line into cabinets, such as flush doors,
cornices, baseboards, and wall partition (majikiri), the company was renamed as YYD
System Interiors, Inc. and remains aggressive in improving their products to suit
all the requirements of developers, construction companies, and other related
industries. It even reached almost US$ 90 million sales in 2001.

The year 2003 was another milestone for YYD, the organization took a big leap
towards globalization after receiving ISO 9001:2000 standards, under the
certification audit conducted by TUV Rheinland Philippines, Ltd.

Aside from Taiwan and Japan markets, YYD also serves Middle East and Egypt clients
for many years already. To make their company more visible, YYD will join this
year's The Big 5 Show on 25-29 November, along with Pacific Timber Export
Corporation (flush doors), Piedra Systems, Inc. (stone veneers), TMC International
Corporation (marble tiles, slabs, mosaic), Raphael Legacy Designs, Inc. (mosaic,
tiles, medallion, table countertop), Gracepark International (wood cabinets, solid
wood doors), and iCoast (misting system), The Philippine delegation will occupy the
M28-31 Main Concourse Area of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

After the event, the Philippine delegation will proceed to a business mission in
Fujairah and Abu Dhabi to meet general contractors, property developers and
distributors for possible projects/contract arrangements.

The Philippine participation to The Big 5 Show is part of the government's strategy
to sustain the company's visibility to foreign markets. The Philippine
participation to The Big 5 Show is organized by the Center for International Trade
Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotions arm of the Department of
Trade and Industry.

According to Mr. Chen, YYD gained the confidence and loyalty of its buyers because
of their company's openness to customize their production based on the specification
and details set by the clients. Their company's superior technologies to ensure
appropriate moisture content of their products, absence from air pollutant
formaldehyde, and environment-friendly operations serve as their competitive
advantage over other door manufacturers.
